PEP (post exposure prophylaxis for HIV)

Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) is a treatment that can prevent HIV infection after the virus has entered a person's body for up to 72 hours. PEP is available from Avenue House and Station Plaza Specialist Sexual Health services. PEP is also available from A&E departments.
